Belsfield House is a purpose-built care home with nursing opened in 2009. We strive to provide consistent quality care for all our residents. The House consists of a number of units providing care for: - Adults with acquired brain injuries - Adults with physical disabilities - People with dementia in older age or at an early age. The House has 40 single en-suite rooms, many with en-suite wet rooms or showers. We have accommodation on four floors with a lounge area on all floors.
Many rooms have sea views or views over the Bowland Fell. Each room has a nurse call system, fire detectors, individually controlled underfloor heating. All rooms have electric profiling beds, pressure-relieving mattresses, are tastefully decorated and furnished. Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own belongings and pictures. Personal furniture can be brought into your room by arrangement.
The House has easy access to a number of bus routes and is within a few yards of a tram stop. Local shops and hotels are only a short walk away. Residents are able to keep their own GP if the House is in their catchment area, or we can arrange registration with the local practice, who visit the house frequently. We will assist in accessing other NHS services that are required for residents. We have a dedicated team of Registered Nurses who provided nursing care 24 hours a day. The nurses are supported by our team of carers, who are NVQ qualified in Health and Social Care. Our care team is supported by our laundry, cleaning and catering staff. During the pre-admission assessment, the compatibility and appropriateness of placement will be considered at all times. We will discuss with your social worker and health care workers what your needs are and how we can meet them.
