Ryecourt has been operating as a Care Home offering General Nursing Care since October 2001 and offering EMI Nursing Care since May 2005. The home prides itself on providing the highest standard of care for 35 individuals service users within our home-like, family and friendly environment. During pre-admission assessment the compatibility and appropriateness of placement will be considered at all times. We will discuss with your social worker and health care workers what your needs are and how we can meet them.

Ryecourt aims to provide nursing care locally for people with Dementia and Alzheimer's and general nursing care for those with a physical condition or the frailty associated with older age. We consider the provision of respite care, dependent on occupancy levels, if approached to do so. The home located on the seafront has 31 single rooms, many are en-suite, and two double rooms. We have accommodation on three floors with three lounges/dining areas on the ground floor. The two front lounge areas have sea views and often have splendid sunsets. Some bedrooms have sea views and each room has a nurse call system, fire detectors, radiator heating. All of our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished. Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own belongings and pictures. Personal furniture can be brought into your room by arrangement.

The home has easy access to a number of bus routes, is within a few yards of a tram stop and the promenade. There are local shops and hotels within a short walking distance. Residents are able to keep their own GP if the home is in their catchment area, or we can arrange registration with the local practice, who visit the home frequently. We will assist in accessing other NHS services that are required for residents. We are working with the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care. We have a dedicated team of Registered Nurses who provided nursing care 24 hours a day. The nurses are supported by our team of carers, who are NVQ qualified in Health and Social Care. Our care team is supported by our laundry, Cleaning and Catering Staff. Other services and facilities include:
- Daily laundry and cleaning service
- Access to local GP
- Activities
- Visiting musicians
- Hairdressing, Chiropodist, Optician
- Visiting clothes parties
